The childhood thrill and vibrancy of theater never really leaves us. The shock and surprise of the color transitions between scenes remains one of life's huge pleasures; the curtain rising to reveal a blue, moonlit lake, or a silver-iced pond beneath a black sky studded with glistening stars, or a shimmering indigo city-block, or a rainbow of blazing toyboxes, prepared by Santa's elves - all embody a kind of magic seemingly made for children.
But in Radio City's Christmas Spectacular we discover that these pleasures never fade, and folks of all ages find themselves gasping and reveling in the vivid enchantment unfolding onstage. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is truly one of the pinnacles of the holiday season, and it is not to be missed.
